CompFEM - Explicit solver for damage growth in composite laminates

Load cases in the deck

Read straight out of the input file — geometry, orientation, boundary conditions and material all come from the deck, nothing is retyped. Tick the cases you want to run, then go to the Solver tab.

Material

Step controls

The model is invariant under a uniform scaling of time, so a shorter step runs faster and traces the same curve — as long as it stays quasi‑static. Watch the KE/SE column in the results: above about 1 % the answer is being driven by inertia, not the material.

Solver

Energy columns read up to the peak / whole run. The first says whether the reported strength is the material's; the second whether the softening branch is.
